Senator Group

Since its formation in 1992 the Senator Group has provided a range of broking and claims administration services to clients seeking proactive representation in the London Market.

We are widely regarded as the market leader in the independent processing and collection of fees on behalf of underwriter appointed experts, representing a broad cross-section of lawyers and other market experts throughout the world.

Senator is the London Market's longest established independent dedicated broker run-off organisation. Over the past 30 years we have established a proven track record of providing underwriters, cedants, reinsurers, brokers, and their clients with innovative solutions to the most complex of insurance and reinsurance problems. In many cases, these solutions have involved delivering finality to shareholders who wish to exit the business.

We look forward to welcoming you to our offices in the heart of the London insurance market, two minutes from the iconic Lloyd’s building on Lime Street.

What We Do

Our range of services to third party experts includes:

  • Processing and collection of current fee bills
  • Collection of pre-underwriting risk survey fees
  • Collection of aged debt
  • Account reconciliations
  • Outsourced credit control

Services to Lawyers

In 1997 Senator became the first third party service provider to offer an alternative method for underwriter appointed experts to process and collect their fees entirely independent of the broker of record.

Broker Run off

In addition to approaching thirty years’ experience in the London insurance market our chief executive’s professional background includes extensive merger and acquisitions experience.

Services to Underwriters

Senator's services to underwriters, handling both primary and assumed liabilities, aim to complement any existing contractual arrangements the underwriter has in place.

Services to Brokers

Our services to the broking community provide a range of alternatives to management teams seeking more cost-effective ways of dealing with the broker's traditional functions.

Services to Insolvency Practitioners

Senator's services to Insolvency Practitioners largely mirror those offered to our clients depending upon the type of organisation to which the Insolvency Practitioner has been appointed.
