Modern Slavery Act

This statement applies to Senator Insurance Services Limited and is made pursuant to Section 54, of The Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps we have taken and are continuing to take to identify and minimise the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking occurring within our business chain.

We have a zero-tolerance policy on modern slavery and human trafficking in our organisation and supply chain. This statement provides information about and what steps we have taken to identify and minimise the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking occurring within our business or supply chain.

Our organisation

Senator Insurance Services Limited is based in the UK in London providing services which includes the collection of fees on behalf of lawyers, surveyors, engineers etc. from insurance companies in relation to the provision of services by our clients to those insurance companies.

The supply chains overview

Our supply chains include IT services and equipment, office facilities, recruitment, training and development, marketing and communications, and professional services.
While we believe that the insurance industry is not exposed to a high risk of slavery and human trafficking, we are nonetheless keenly aware that the possibility does exist within our supply chains and ensure their policies reflect appropriate standards for their business.

In order to mitigate this risk, we carry out robust due diligence on all our counterparties to ensure that they are of good repute and that there are no legal or compliance-related reasons why we should not conduct business with them.

As part of our risk management process, we review our business and supply chains to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place and that the risks of it occurring are minimised. All employees, contractors, suppliers and clients are encouraged to report any concerns that they have about any unethical conduct including slavery and human trafficking and we will investigate accordingly.

Policies and Guidance

We operate several internal policies to ensure that we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner, these include:

  • Recruitment Policy. We operate a robust recruitment policy, including conducting eligibility to work in the UK checks for all employees to safeguard against human trafficking.
  • Whistleblowing Policy. We operate a whistleblowing policy so that all employees know that they can raise concerns about how colleagues are being treated, or practices within our business or supply chain, without fear of reprisals.
  • Anti-Bribery and corruption Policy. We are dedicated to ethical business practice and do not tolerate any form of bribery or any corrupt conduct either within the activities of Senator Insurance Services Limited or those of the parties with whom we seek to do business.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54 (1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 December 2022.
